FBX MULTI TAKE

AUTODESK 3DS MAX (WINDOWS)

SUPPORTED BUILDS: 2012 -> 2019 (32bit, 64bit)

£6.99

FBX Multi Take is a 3ds Max plugin utility for adding multiple Takes to an FBX export file.

Through developing our own render engine we came across the problem of not being able to have multiple takes within one FBX file from 3DS Max, so we developed the solution, FBX Multi Take.

You can use FBX Multi Take to divide your time line into different animation ranges e.g. Run 40-80, Jump 81 - 100 etc. These animation ranges are then processed via FBX Multi Take at export time. The result is an FBX file with multiple takes named e.g. Run, Jump etc.

Features:

• Ability to remove the default take 'Take 001'.

• FBX Multi Take works directly with Autodesk's FBX exporter so the data you extract from Max is not effected other than the additional animation takes.

• No extra files are need as the take data is stored within the 3ds Max file, so transferring files between artists and animators isn't a problem, this is also bonus when using source control.

• Currently supports 3ds Max 2012 -> 2018 (32bit and 64bit).

• Currently supports FBX Version 2012.2, 2013.2, 2013.3, 2014.1.0, 2014.2.1, 2015.1, 2016.1, 2017.0.1, 2018.1.1, 2019.0.0

• Works perfectly with Unity, just import your FBX as normal and the animation list will be there ready. No need for extra messing around with animation names or external files.

How to use: Use the Trax Editor to create clips / time ranges, on export via the Autodesk FBX exporter Multi Take will add these animations to the exported .FBX file.

FBX ROOT ANIMATION FIX UP

VERSION: 1.2

WINDOWS

£6.99

FBX Root Animation Fix Up is a tool we have developed to remove or add a new root node to animations and meshes.
Through using the Unreal Engine we discovered that our character animations worked fine within the engine but they were authored so that the character would move away from the origin. They were also animated and rigged using CAT (3ds Max), which is a fantastic plugin but it also causes problems with root node animations in Unreal. So, this became a problem quickly. Our solution was to create a tool which fixed this issue with out having to alter the rig or animations, we did try to work around this problem with CAT but it became far too complex and time consuming. Note: The current version is only for 64bit Windows 7 and above, the FBX SDK is 2015.1

Features:

• Add a new motion root node to an existing node (e.g. Pelvis).

• Remove X/Y/Z rotation and translation from a given bone (e.g. Pelvis), if you want to handle the distance moved in Unreal rather than use root motion. So this feature will result in an on the spot animation.

• Remove X/Y/Z rotation and translation from a list of given bones, this can be really useful for stripping upper and lower body animation.

• The ability to batch process as many FBX files you wish.

• You can preview the output for a given animation.
